I just came back from Acorn Consulting Services in Mohamed Sultan Road. It was a little inaccessible but luckily I drove and managed to find the place.

It was good to donate blood (in the previous post) and detour here to take the survey Acorn Comsulting asked me to do. I was compensated $40 for my efforts in taking a survey on financial institutions. It was pretty interesting to answer survey on advertisements and certain preferences. And certainly, it was not a scam!

$40 in 1/2 hour (just nice for my parking coupon) is not too bad a rate. Just like giving tuition. They paid me in $10 notes in a nice holder too. And also, i got a free drink.

Now now did I managed to get such an offer?

Not too sure whether you know that there is a singaporean website called MyMailMoment. It’s a company that tries to recruit survey takers and remunerate them in one way or another. I must say that when i first joined, the things they give are peanuts and not worth the time.

Apparently, survey companies tap MyMailMoment’s database of survey takers for other surveys. That’s how Acorn called me up for this opportunity 3 days back. They had some prescreening to see whether I fit the category in taking the survey. Then they arranged a time to do so which is today. (Was a little irritated cos the prescreener was disorganised and did not send me the details via sms. She even called me twice to screen me. zzz. I got the address only when the surveyor smsed me to be early. )
